Analysis of Google search data reveals that online searches for ‘7 in 7 challenge’ exploded by 1,083% across the United Kingdom just hours after Kevin Sinfield OBE completed his week of ultra-marathons in aid of Motor Neurone Disease.

A new finding by Fr-casinospot revealed that online searches for ‘What is MND’ also saw an 800% increase in interest after the Oldham rugby legend raised over £800,000 for those affected by the disease.

The spark for Sinfield’s marathon challenge began after teammate and friend Rob Burrow MBE was diagnosed with MND in 2019.

Since then, Sinfield has successfully raised millions for charity and awareness across the UK, spurring others to participate in marathons.

The curiosity in 7 in 7 challenges has undoubtedly increased since Kevin completed his in London last Thursday, which Sinfield has said was ‘gruelling’ but ended with a mighty applause and an enthusiastic crowd.

The 7 in 7 challenge saw Sinfield and his team complete an ultra-marathon every day for a week across seven different cities across the UK and Ireland.

Sinfield finished an extra mile every day with various members of the MND community.

Sinfield and his team have had an impressive impact online, with an upload of appreciation from BBC Sports official Instagram page dedicating a post to Sinfield for completing the challenge.

The post, which was posted less than a week ago, has over 35 thousand likes and over 370 comments.

Hero Sinfield spoke at the finish line about how important the donations are when it comes to finding a cure for the disease, as well as making sure families who are affected by MND are looked after.

A spokesperson for Fr-casinospot said: “This finding clearly shows the impact that taking part in a terrific cause such as the 7 in 7 challenge can have, and not only has Sinfield raised well over his £777,777 target, but he has managed to create awareness behind MND and the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

"This finding also proves just how much of an impact celebrities can have for the better when participating in fundraisers and charity-based events, which are vital to creating a difference for the people affected most by such diseases.”
