New UNIC Cranes website unveiled in Paris

Date published: 27 April 2018

Chadderton-based UNIC Cranes Europe has announced the launch of their new website, designed by the company’s own in-house marketing team.

The new multi-lingual website was unveiled at Intermat, which is being heled in Paris, France, and was developed in response to increasing customer demand for UNIC Cranes services and products.

The website was built over the course of three months, and now has greater mobile capabilities as well as enriched content ranging from technical videos, working shots, infographics and access to the company’s full catalogue of products and services.

The new site sees the introduction of detailed dealer pages, a dedicated area to purchase used spider cranes plus a sleek and more modernised look for an enhanced user experience.

Daniel Ezzatvar, Marketing Manager of UNIC Cranes Europe, said “The launch of the UNIC Cranes Europe site rounds up a three-year project of bringing all GGR Group company websites in-house and I am delighted with the finished outcome.

"My team have worked very hard to build on the success of the GGR Group and GGR Glass sites, but it is safe to say that the new UNIC Cranes site is jam packed with new features and it has been a big learning curve for everyone.

"From the UK, we support a dealer network across 28 countries, predominantly in Europe but also in South Africa, the UAE and on the island of Reunion in the Indian Ocean.

"Within the new site, we have made wider range of content available to access online from video and image galleries, to technical information and downloadable copies of our product brochure in different languages - English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

"Thesedays, websites and the internet are central to most businesses with them playing a key role in everything from providing information to lead generation and generating revenue.

"The construction sector has been typically slow to embrace marketing as a profession, but the rise of digital technology in the industry has made marketing departments like ours more relevant and more of a necessity than evert before.”

In recent years, UNIC Cranes Europe, as part of the GGR Group has grown into a £27m turnover business – a far cry from its small beginnings in 1995 when it was started by brother and sister team Graeme and Gill Riley.

Since then, its lifting machines have been used on high-profile projects including the Shard in London, Heathrow Terminal 5 and the Scottish Parliament building at Holyrood.

Recent honours for the business include winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade in 2016, with Managing Director Gill Riley being awarded an OBE in the Queen’s 2015 Birthday honours for Services to Construction – a rare accolade for a female in the industry.
