The cameras will be focused firmly on exciting Delph professional boxing prosepct Andy Kremner on Friday night when he targets glory in an exciting new eight-man tournament.

The Matthew Hatton-trained prospect takes part in ‘Ultimate Boxxer’ at Manchester Arena.

The winner of three fights will walk away with the top prize – and gain plenty of exposure.

The quarter-finals are being shown live on the internet on Uni Lad and the semi finals and final are on 5 Spike.

5 Spike reaches millions of fans, giving Kremner the chance to give his profile a massive boost.

The 25-year-old said: “This is the chance I’ve been waiting for.

“5 Spike reaches millions of people and hopefully they are all going to find out a bit more about me on Friday night.”

Kremner has been handed a tough-looking quarter-final draw.

He meets Sunderland’s Isaac Macleod, a former amateur star who has also won all his nine fights in the paid ranks so far.

Kremner and Macleod are two of the favourites to win ‘Ultimate Boxxer’ – and Kremner is determined not to let his fans down.

“The Manchester Arena is somewhere I’ve always wanted to box,” he said.

“This is a huge night for me and if everyone gets behind me.

"I’m sure I can win and make Manchester and Oldham proud.”
