Reach Out for a new challenge

Date published: 02 February 2018

Are you looking for an exciting new challenge in 2018?

Oldhamers interested in gaining experience working with young people and volunteers are currently being invited to sign up for ReachOut’s Leadership Programme and become ReachOut Project Leaders.

As a member of the programme, participants will benefit from a training programme designed to help you develop and grow your leadership and management skills, including a weekend residential and follow up evening sessions.

There are additional optional modules such as public speaking, child psychology and building your personal brand, delivered in partnership with our corporate supporters and other third sector organisations.

Paid weekly placement as a Project Leader on a primary or secondary school project could also be available.

There will be a personal mentor to support you throughout your placement, while ReachOut’s alumni community boasts access to networking events and career development opportunities.

The programme runs from May, 2018, to July, 2019, in London, Oldham and Manchester.

To take part you must be willing to commit a minimum of six hours per week (up to four hours on your paid placement and additional time on personal development) and be available for the weekend training residential in late August/early September 2018 (August 31 to September 2).

Applications are now open, while assessment centres will take place throughout March and April.
