Support Will Week in March
Local Oldham solicitors are teaming up for the second Annual Will Week, in aid of Mahdlo Youth Zone.
Held between March 5-8, local residents are being encouraged to join in and have their will written in turn for a donation to Mahdlo.
Participating solicitors include Cuttle & Co on Union Street (tel 0161 678 7443), John Birkby & Co, Huddersfield Road (0161 626 5686), North Ainley, Clegg Street (0161 624 5614), O’Donnell’s, Mossley Road (01457 761 320), Pearson Solicitors (0161 785 3500) and Wrigley Claydon, Union Street (0161 624 6811).
To book call your chosen solicitor, quoting MAHDLO.
John Ainley, partner at North Ainley, said: “Surprisingly, over half of adults in the UK have not made a will which can have unfortunate legal consequences.
"These can be avoided by simply making an appointment with a Solicitor of your choice who will give you friendly advice and guide you through the process.
"Everyone over the age of 18 should consider making a Will, not only to deal with finances but also, for example, arrangements for young children.’
Claire Crossfield, Mahdlo’s Development Manager, added: “Last years will week campaign was really successful and we are hoping that with even more companies on board this years will help us raise even more funds to support our delivery programme with young people.
"The generosity of the local solicitors and people means that we can continue to grow and develop much needed services which will have a lasting impact upon our member’s lives.”
Gareth Nixon, Head of Business Development at Mahdlo, said: “There are many creative ways companies and individuals can get involved and help generate funds for our work.
"I’m open to all suggestions and ideas and would love to talk to other businesses that would like to get involved in their own way.”
