WHEN elderly residents at Aster House have a problem, they know Carole-Anne Lawton is always there to help.
And Carole-Anne’s efforts to go the extra mile have earned her a Pride in Oldham nomination.
Carole-Anne has served as the sheltered housing complex’s extra-care court manager for eight years.
Her duties include making sure residents are well fed, checking they attend all their medical appointments and introducing them to services such as the hairdresser and massage therapist. Carole-Anne was nominated by residents Linda Thompson, George Collier and Derek McCann who said: “Carole-Anne is very caring, she listens to all our problems and she is very friendly.”
Carole-Anne said: “I am astounded to be nominated. You don’t always feel appreciated for what you do so it’s nice to know that people recognise your efforts.”
