A PASSION for Oldham and an active engagement in the community have earned local business Breakey & Nuttall a Pride in Oldham nomination.
The commercial property agent, based at Salmon Fields Business Village in Royton, helps local businesses to find the right property.
But it’s the company’s helping hand in helping businsses to thrive and promoting the borough’s economic growth that prompted the company’s agency surveyor, Glenn Drake-Owen, to nominate the pair.
Since the company was formed in 2011, Chris Breakey and Joanne Nuttall have offered support and assistance to a variety of businesses with networking advice, promotions and recommendations.
The company has also worked with Oldham Council on a grant scheme for the Independent Quarter, and has assisted the growth of several start-up companies and the expansion of existing businesses.
Glenn said: “We’re really proud of Oldham and we love what we do in terms of getting businesses in Oldham.
“We’ve done a lot of work with the council’s regeneration team and take great pride in being not just agents, but people who care about our clients. Its really frustrating for us when people are negative about Oldham because we feel really positive about the borough and its future.”
