Once a month the Oldham Evening Chronicle hold a popular Come Dine with Us Evening at restaurants in and around the local area.

The aim is to give our readers a chance to sample good food in good company for a reasonable price, experiencing different cuisines and the chance to visit varying restaurants.

We are always happy to welcome new diners to our evenings along with our regular customers.

This month we will be at Heroes of Waterloo in Ashton so please book early to avoid disappointment as we only have a limited number of spaces available.

Here at Heroes of Waterloo, we know how to give you a warm welcome.

Our food is freshly prepared from scratch on the premises by our experienced chef and our friendly, uniformed staff are on hand to make your dining experience a pleasurable one.

We now have a fabulous beer garden offering Al Fresco dining.

Menu STARTERS

Roasted red pepper and tomato soup (v)
Topped with crème fraiche.
Salmon & Cod croquettes
Deconstructed tartar and smashed peas.
Pulled pork terrine
Vietnamese salad and apple compression.
Rocket, bacon & mushroom quiche
Mixed leaves and mustard dressing.

MAIN COURSE Corn fed chicken breast
Potato perkedel, chicken stock jus and summer vegetables.
Pan cooked seabass
Mixed fish volute and asparagus risotto.
Duo of Lamb
Herb lamb cutlet, pulled lamb en croute, dauphinoise potatoes, buttered cabbage and thyme jus.
Goats cheese and beetroot tart (v)
Served with crisp leaf salad.

DESSERTS Chocolate & Salted caramel mousse
With fresh raspberries and chocolate sticks.
Fruit Kebabs
Served with two chocolate dipping sauces.
Caramel panna cotta
With warm ginger bread.
Sticky toffee pudding
Topped with caramel sauce and ice cream
