Hugo the missing dog
A HEARTBROKEN woman is appealing for the safe return of her dog who has still not returned home after he went missing several months ago.
Kelly Teece (33) has distributed hundreds of handmade notices to shops, pubs and offices across Saddleworth, Mossley and Marsden seeking help for the return of Hugo, a two-year-old cross-Yorkshire terrier.
He went missing last year at 10pm on Sunday September 22, from near his home address in Grasscroft after being frightened.
Kelly bought Hugo, who is microchipped, for £300 when he was 10-weeks-old and has offered a generous £1,000 reward for his safe return home.
She said: “Hugo is not my pet — he is my absolute world, my best friend, my life and I love him dearly. I am heartbroken not knowing where he is and if he is safe.”
Hugo does not know the area well as Kelly and her family had only lived in the area for three weeks after moving from Stockport.
There has been a huge poster campaign, banners, leaflets and cards handed to people and posted with details, and a significant search by many has taken place with Kelly searching day and night relentlessly.
Anyone with information, which will be treated confidentially, should contact Kelly directly on 07790 434661 or via the Facebook group ‘Hugo-Missing’.
