DELPH’s Old Bell pub and restaurant has claimed a place in the Guinness Book of World Records - for collecting varieties of gin!

In under two years, owner Phil Whiteman and his team have collected 404 different gins, to hit the record books for having more varieties of gin commercially available than anywhere else.

Delighted Phil, who has created a gin emporium at the Old Bell to display all 404 bottles, said “It’s incredible to think I’ve produced something so unique.”

In fact the record is even more impressive: since the number was declared, the Old Bell has added 10 more varieties to the total.

Phil - a teetotaller - gets the flavour of each gin by letting the fluid touch his lips.

“There’s an incredible number of places across the UK distilling gin; I reckon we must have a bottle from nearly every one, and from every corner of the world from Peru to the Far East.

And of course to go with allthose gins, the Old Bell has... 10 different makes of tonic!
