SADDLEWORTH Homewatch holds its first meeting of the year at Uppermill Conservative Club on Wednesday at 7.45pm.


THE First Stop Health Bus is on its way. Next stop is Lees Village Co-op, Owl Mill Street, on Friday, February 6, from 10am.


SADDLEWORTH Civic Trust holds an illustrated presentation on Thursday, February 5. “A Town Tour of Heritage Buildings and History of Personalities in Middleton” will be presented by Christine Grime from 7.30pm at Saddleworth Museum Gallery, Uppermill.


A FLEA market is being held at Uppermill Civic Hall on Sunday. In aid of Saddleworth Parish Council’s Chairman’s Charities, the event runs from 10am-3pm.


SPRINGHEAD Liberal Club holds its “Lunch at the Liberal Club” on Wednesday from noon-2pm. The event is on behalf of Dr Kershaw’s and the Oldham branch of the MS Society and costs £3.50 per person.



FRIENDS of Castleshaw Roman Forts have an illustrated talk at Uppermill Civic Hall on Wednesday. The talk by Alan Petford begins at 7.30pm and costs £3 for non-members.



SADDLEWORTH Players present comedy play “Absurd Person Singular” on Saturday, January 31. Taking place at Millgate Arts Centre, Delph, from 7.30pm, tickets cost £8 and are available from saddleworthplayers.org.uk.
