A NIGHT of Scottish dancing, a quiz and music is being held at Springhead Congregational Church tomorrow. The Burns Night starts at 7.30pm and costs £7 for adults — free for children.
SADDLEWORTH Players present comedy play “Absurd Person Singular” at Milgate Arts Centre, Delph, at 7.30pm from Saturday, January 31, to Saturday, February 7. Tickets are available at www.players.org.uk for £8.
A FAMILY fun day of games, crafts and food is being held at Springhead Congregational Church on Friday, February 6. The Messy Church event costs £3 per family and is on from 3.30pm-5pm.
THE “It’s Not Rocket Science” general knowledge quiz is on at Springhead Liberal Club on Tuesday, February 10. Starting at 8.30pm, the quiz costs £3 per person with proceeds going to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice and the Oldham branch of the MS Society.
ALL are invited to St Mary’s Church, Greenfield, on Sunday, February 1, at 6.30pm for a Candlemas service, which celebrates the presentation of Jesus in the Temple.
SADDLEWORTH Creative Network is holding its Spring Handmade Festival between February 28-March 1. It will feature stalls selling handmade local goods as well as facepainting, food and crafts, from 11am to 4pm at Uppermill Civic Hall.
SADDLEWORTH-BASED Oldham Owls lacrosse team is appealing for more players. Its Under-14s train every Thursday from 5.30-6.30pm and the Under-12s train from 5-6pm. Training takes place at Saddleworth School sports hall.
