A FAMILY-RUN farm has collected a hat-trick of top awards in a nationwide contest to find Britain’s best breakfast.

Albion Farm in Delph landed first prize in the Best Cafe, Coffee Shop and Farm Shop in the Great British Breakfast category. And it was runner up in the Best in England Great British Breakfast and Best Hot Breakfast sections, beating competition from across the country.

Full-English diners at Albion Farm tuck into home-cured bacon, two homemade sausages, two free-range fried, scrambled or poached eggs, two slices of black pudding, two hash browns, mushrooms, baked beans, tomatoes and toast.

Laura Sneath-Hirst (31), a partner, said: “We are absolutely delighted. We sell hundreds of breakfasts every week — they are definitely our best seller.

“We’ll only keep striving to improve. The excellent support we get from customers is what makes us enjoy what we are working towards even more.”
