LYDGATE Band Contest Committee is putting this year’s programme together — for the 40th year of the popular village event.

THE new Denshaw Table Tennis Club is looking for players. On Mondays, between 6-8pm, serious players interested in seeing Denshaw enter a league competition are invited.

On Thursdays, between 7.30-8.30pm, there is training for youngsters. Contact Gary Kershaw on 07940529655 for details.



THE 4Most Digital Photographic Exhibition is on display at Saddleworth Museum and Art Gallery until April 26. This exhibition is presented by 4Most Digital which is a small group of like-minded photographers who share the common goal of producing high quality printed images for global public enjoyment.



RESIDENTS are invited to the popular annual plant sale at Saddleworth Museum and Art Gallery on May 31. Taking place from 11am-3.30pm there will be an array of plants to choose from as well as refreshments.



THE chairman of Saddleworth Parish Council, Councillor Enid Firth, is looking to honour a person or couple who donate time and effort to charity work at a dinner at Greenfield Conservative Club on May 15. There will be an Adult and Young category and to nominate someone call 01457876665.



DOBCROSS Silver Band presents the famous Jager Maestros Oompah Band on May 15 at Dobcross band Club. Taking place from 8pm tickets cost £8 from 01457873741 with proceeds going to the band’s Menin Gate Fund.
