SOME of Oldham's hottest young acting talent is set to tackle a selection of the most iconic movie scenes ever shown on the big screen.

Saddleworth Drama Centre presents "Scenes You Have Seen" at Oldham Coliseum Studio this Friday and Saturday, setting the stage with excerpts from everything from Brief Encounter to Pulp Fiction.

The show is the grand finale for the school's advanced students before they go on to study at drama school and university.

Principal Judith Barker - an Oldham born actress with a prolific TV career including Coronation Street, Waterloo Road and Scott and Bailey - says there's something for everyone in the show which she has put together along with dancer and choreographer, Adele Parry, and musical director, David Bintley.

"It includes scenes from films such as Pretty Woman, When Harry Met Sally, and a couple of Tarantino classics.

"There's also music from shows such as Les Miserable and excellent choreography from Adele.

"It's a good mix, it will be a very good show."

Judith is currently starring in a new Sky One comedy called Rovers.

Directed by Craig Cash and also starring Sue Johnston it follows the story of a rundown local football club. It airs on Tuesdays at 10pm.
