A CONSTRUCTION site safety company has opened a regional office in Oldham and celebrating growth as it marks its 10th year.

Innov8 Safety Solutions has its main office in North Wales but is increasing its presence in the north of England with the new office at Hollinwood Business Centre.

Established in 2007, the firm has expanded from its original base on Merseyside with new offices in Chester, Oldham and Gatwick. The firm has secured a series of high-profile contracts in the past year across the north and Midlands.

The new Hollinwood office presence marks Innov8's next step towards growth after its parent company, Lucion Services Group, recently acquired Dorking-based asbestos and environmental consultancy Redhills. Innov8 said the deal has turned the business into a £25million-market leader in the health and safety sector.

Jeremy Meredith, business manager at Innov8 Safety Solutions, said: "Having additional office space in Oldham opens up an exciting new chapter of growth for us.

"We're now part of an even bigger group of national companies which means we're able to provide additional resources and services. The new office will afford us the space and facilities to support our plans for growth across the North-West and beyond."

As part of the growth, David Grunnill has joined the company as a construction design management (CDM) and safety consultant. The firm said he has considerable building and construction industry experience, and he will provide advice to designers, developers and contractors on CDM governance and safety compliance issues.

Innov8's recent high-profile successes include a contract extension with Cheshire East Council, work for Bruntwood Construction on developments at Manchester Business School at the University of Manchester; work with Muse Developments at the Salford Central development site, and work at The Platform office block next to Leeds railway station, formerly known as City House.
