Date published: 26 November 2008

The deadline for entries has now been extended to Friday 13 February 2009.

WINNERS of the inaugural One Oldham Chronicle Business Awards will be recognised by their peers as among the best in the borough.

In addition to a specially commissioned trophy, which can take pride of place in boardrooms and receptions, winners will receive a profile in the pages of the Evening Chronicle, a framed copy of the article ad the acclaim of hundreds of people at a gala presentation dinner at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Oldham, on Friday April 3.

All shortlisted finalists will receive two tickets to the Oscars-style event and sponsors are also offering prizes. Oldham Athletic have offered a table for eight in their sponsors' lounge and talks are progressing with the Oldham rugby club for a similar prize at a home game. The Chronicle is to offer advertising to the winner of the Retailer of the Year accolade.
