ANDREW Himelfield has joined Failsworth and Mossley commercial solicitors Harold Stock and Co.

Formerly with Thompson and Cooke in Stalybridge, Mr Himelfield (58), of Prestwich, has joined as a consultant based at Harold Stock’s Mossley head office in Stamford Street.

The firm enjoys a solid reputation in commercial work thanks to partners Paul Stock, James O’Donnell, Andrew Murray and assistant solicitor Rebecca Wood.

Mr Himelfield’s appointment is seen another step forward in the firm’s growth strategy. He brings more than 30 years’ commercial law experience to the team, focusing primarily on commercial property, commercial landlord and tenant matters.

Senior partner Mark Ryan said: “We are delighted that Andrew has chosen to join Harold Stock and Co.

“We strongly believe that we are the most commercially-minded firm of solicitors in the Tameside and Oldham areas and Andrew will be a fantastic fit with our business.

“We saw Andrew as our only real competition in this area of work so are now proud to boast that we have the largest and most experienced commercial law team in East Manchester.

“We will continue to develop our team with the very best people around.”

Looking forward to his new challenge, Mr Himelfield said: “This is an excellent opportunity and I am delighted to be working with and further strengthening the commercial team.

“We look forward to dominating the commercial market in East Manchester.”

Harold Stock and Co was established in 1977 and has four offices, three in Mossley and one in Pole Lane, Failsworth.

The firm also works in association with Amie Tsang and Co in central Manchester.
