Breakfast seminar on green systems

Groundwork Oldham is hosting a free breakfast seminar on Wednesday, September 15, about environmental management systems and how they can benefit a business.

An environmental management system (EMS) is a formal way for any size of organisation to manage environmental performance and compliance with legislation, with the overall aim of continuous improvement.

Compliance also demonstrates to potential clients and customers a company’s commitment to having a minimal impact upon the environment.

The seminar, at the Environment Centre, Shaw Road, Oldham, between 8.15am and 10.30am will help owners and managers decide if their business should be looking to implement an EMS and which route to take through the process.

Details of the support and training available from Groundwork will be readily available.

Environmental business advisers will be on hand to answer questions as will representatives from companies currently being supported by Groundwork.

Email kate.harcus@groundwork.org.uk  or contact Kate on 0161-624 1444 to book a place.

Lloyds loan arranger

Lloyds TSB commercial finance has underlined its commitment to supporting Oldham businesses by enhancing its client charter and launching its first introducer charter for the professional community.

The revised client charter enables prospective clients with a turnover of up to £15 million to obtain an indicative lending decision within 48 hours and the bank pledges to match any competitive offer.

The charter allows the conclusion of a facility at any time, by giving 28 days notice, without incurring any termination fees.
