Operations director Colin Prescott built up ABCA’s North-West business from scratch
Chadderton base ‘perfect’
A COMPANY which relocated to Oldham from Bolton is celebrating its second anniversary in the borough with the announcement of a new contract worth £250,000 per year.
The Broadway, Chadderton, operation of ABCA Systems is its national centre for service and maintenance.
Operations director Colin Prescott (36) moved the business — which works in the specialist electrical engineering contracts market — into Oldham for logistical and business reasons.
He said: “First Choice Homes Oldham is one of our most important customers and we wanted to be closer to their operations, but Oldham also offers a base close to the motorway network.
“We have more than 20 people working from here, travelling to sites in Brighton on the south coast and Newcastle in the North-East. This location is just perfect.”
Chadderton is the administrative and sales hub of ABCA Systems, which has its headquarters in Killingworth, Tyne and Wear, and was established more than 20 years ago as the leading provider to industry and social housing providers security, communication, time and attendance systems.
