CELEBRATION: Pam Pelham pours herself some bubbly surrounded by family, colleagues and business contacts.
Chadderton wire and mesh fabrication specialist AMP Wire Ltd has celebrated its first 20 years in business by presenting local Olympian Nicola White with a new car.
The company, at Sun Iron Works in Ward Street, is also expanding its apprenticeship programme, improving its e-commerce business and refreshing its brand.
Founded by managing director Pam Pelham, AMP Wire is the UK’s leading manufacturer of storage equipment, security products and bespoke items made from high quality steel wire.
The product range spans CCTV camera guards to pizza display stands, industrial lockers to point-of-sale material.
AMP Wire Ltd sponsored bronze medal winning hockey star Nicola with her 2012 Olympic bid and the car will enable her to travel to practice sessions and events as she gears up for the 2016 Games in Brazil.
Pam said: “I am extremely proud of the company we are today. We have gone from strength to strength over the last two decades. We have invested significantly in equipment and technology and staff training and development, and this is how we will be approaching the next chapter in the company’s history.”
