Stacey sleepless over Seattle...

A FORMER Hulme Grammar School pupil has been invited to address a global conference in Seattle.

Stacey Cavanagh (29) originally from Greenacres, will speak at Mozcon in July and is currently talking to organisers about which of two subjects she will present.

“I can’t wait, I am so excited,” she said.

Stacey works for Tecmark Ltd, a specialist digital mobile marketing company based in Manchester.

Stacey applied to speak at SMX, a London event and was given 12 minutes to talk about the industry tools that support Tecmark’s work - websites for handheld devices, phones and tablets.

Her presentation attracted attention and invitations to speak at bigger events.

Moz, based in Seattle and organisers of the world’s biggest industry get together, Mozcon, were impressed by Stacey’s command of her subject and in July she will fly to America’s wet coast for four days, all expenses paid.

Stacey is Tecmark’s head of search: she works out what customers want from their mobile presence before the company’s engineers build a site which presents information depending on the size of screen on which it is being viewed.
