A TEAM representing the Norman Stoller Trust has won the second annual Oldham Corporate Quiz.

Organised by the team behind the hugely successful One Oldham Business Awards, the evening also saw the launch of the 2015 business awards.

“We are proud that Oldham can have this showpiece of the town’s superb businesses,” said treasurer Steve Lowe, announcing that nominations for the 10 categories are now being accepted.

The quiz has become the focal point for the awards launch and, as last year, attracted a total of 20 teams, all helping raise funds for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.

The entry fee was £50 for a team of four and every penny — plus the proceeds of the raffle — is going to the Royton hospice.

The winning Norman Stoller Trust team was captained by Steve Lowe and included former Seton Healthcare company secretary Roger Gould, Oldham Council’s business liaison officer Louise Slater and Adam Husband, from Oldham NatWest.

Runners up were Oldham Coliseum Blue — the theatre had two teams in the quiz as did Harold Stock Solicitors and Web Applications — just half a point behind with Oldham Business Leadership Group third. The evening raised £1,300 for the hospice.
