LES Kerr, the owner and managing director of ZenOffice, is celebrating his 25-year anniversary running the company while clocking up 30 years in the industry.

Educated at Mills Hill School and North Chadderton High School, Mr Kerr (47), from Littleborough, was 21 when he set up the office supplies and stationery business as Intrukt, which was an immediate success, with the company making its first acquisition in 1999.

The business, now known as ZenOffice since he acquired Zen Office Supplies, has since grown to more than 3,000 clients across the North-West and has more than 80 employees.

ZenOffice has adapted its product and service offering in the face of the recession, offering print and design services and joining forces with Interior Partners Ltd to offer a complete range of commercial interior solutions.

In 2012, the company became the only Xerox authorised concessionaire in Manchester with Print Partner Services Accreditation and now provides world-class managed print services, MPS.

This year ZenOffice, based on the Broadway Business Park, Chadderton, has recruited 10 per cent more staff, expanded its base by partnering with another local office supplies company Baron Stationers, was also a finalist in the Oldham Business Awards and the industry-recognised BOSS Awards for the dealer excellence category.

“I am proud to have steered the company to its present position but none of this would have been possible without the efforts of my exceptional staff, suppliers and partners. Really, this has been a team effort from the word go,” he said.
