SIGN company Brand Consortia has taken on a business development manager to increase trade in Greater Manchester.

Chris Greaves (54), from Royton, has spent more than ten years in the industry and has been head-hunted by the management team at Shaw-based Brand Consortia, which is based at Duchess Street Industrial Estate.

Established in 2008, Brand Consortia now employs more than 30 people, of whom 20 work in production and installation roles at its hub.

The firm has many well-known clients including WH Smiths, Coca Cola, Cadbury, Subway, Costa, JJB Sport, the NHS and Bellway Homes.

Its work includes design and manufacturing of large fascias for shops, retail and leisure parks, educational buildings, offices and industrial premises. Services also include surveying and sign maintenance departments.

Mr Greaves said: "We have installation teams all over the country at any one time, with some nationally-based clients. But we also have the expertise and teams here which can help local businesses.

"I want Brand Consortia to be the local firm of choice for sign and graphics. Our average contract price is around £4,000 but we can help local businesses with work from as little as £50."

The business has invested heavily in the last two years, moving to a 12,000 sq ft premises, installing new production equipment and creating a design studio and showroom. It has also acquired new vehicles.
