DEADLY mysteries, cute creatures and explosive action will light up the screens during the opening weekend of the new cinema.

Film-lovers and families will find something to keep them on the edge of their seats at the new Odeon.

Professor Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) returns to solve another fiendish puzzle - this time focused on Dante's Inferno - and race against time to prevent a devastating plague from being unleashed in "Inferno".

Families can watch the colourful cartoon adventure "Trolls", where the all-singing all-dancing Troll people (voiced by Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake) attempt to rescue their friends from the fearsome Bergens.

Horror fans can also grab tickets to see prequel "Ouija: Origin of Evil".

Also showing at the cinema this weekend are "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back", "Bridget Jones's Baby", "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children", "Storks" and "The Girl On The Train".

Superhero fans eagerly awaiting the next instalment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be able to see the fantasy adventure "Doctor Strange".
