GOALS from Charlie Colkett and Jake Clarke-Salter subjected Athletic to a home defeat that keeps Stephen Robinson's side in the relegation zone.
On-loan Chelsea midfielder Colkett lashed home with his left foot in the 25th minute as Athletic failed to clear a corner kick.
And from another corner on 87 minutes, Clarke-Salter rose to power home a header into the bottom-left corner of Connor Ripley's goal.
Outmuscled in the first half, the hosts fought back after half-time and Lee Erwin's free-kick was well saved by Kelle Roos, who also tipped over from Ryan Flynn and held on to Erwin's near-post header.
Matty Taylor almost doubled the lead late on when skipping round Ripley, only for Peter Clarke to somehow block with his body while grounded.
Clarke-Salter then made the game safe for Rovers and though Flynn was denied with a late far-post header, this was another blank in front of goal and a fourth defeat on home soil for Robinson's men.
