A CHADDERTON woman is preparing to strut her stuff for Manchester on the international beauty stage.
Claire Renton (32) has been selected to represent the city at the Ultimate Beauty of the World Pageant, in Northern Ireland, next April after she was handed the title of Ultimate Beauty of Manchester.
It will be Claire's first time on the international stage having competed several times for regional and UK titles.
Claire has also been raising money for the Make a Wish Foundation as part of the event.
Over the last 18 months she's raised £2,000 for charity and says she enjoys the opportunity pageants give her to help worthy causes.
"I'm really happy to be chosen as I never expect to compete internationally," said Claire, who works as a carer. "I'm very nervous but excited at the same time."
