THREE men were taken to hospital after a four-by-four overturned in woodland along the A6052 towards Delph.
A white Range Rover had collided with a pylon which caused power cables to fall across Delph New Road between Oldham Road and Wall Hill Road.
Police closed the road in both directions after being called at around 9.10pm on Friday with some officers remaining at the scene until the early hours of Saturday.
A police spokesman said: "The vehicle overturned and ended up in the bush.
"All three men were taken to hospital although the third man was taken as a precaution.
"It does not appear as though their injuries were life threatening.
"One had minor leg injuries."
Concerned resident Ian Shepherd said via social media: "Cables were left dangling."
Another said: "Power lines are dangling. There is debris in the road."
Electricity North West engineers worked to fix the problem with repair works complete on Saturday night.
