Drivers encounter freezer conditions
Date published: 10 March 2017
Freezer danger . . .
DRIVERS would have got a shock when they came round the bend to find a fridge planted in the middle of the road on Wednesday morning.
Not one but four fridges were left strewn along Huddersfield Road in Denshaw by fly-tippers who showed no concerns for motorists' safety when they dumped their waste.
While the tippers had taken the care to ensure three of the fridges were making an unsightly mess of the grass verge, they had missed the one which was left obstructing the road.
They were not there for long however as Oldham Council acted quickly to remove them later that day after one of their officers spotted them on his way into work.
