THE three owls keep watch over Parliament Square
WHY did the owl invite his friends to Parliament Square?
He didn't want to be owl by himself.
Oldham town centre can now boast a collection of owls after three more new statues, looking up towards the first, were erected in the square outside the new Odeon cinema complex.
The three statues stand in a horizontal row at the bottom of the square facing up towards their lone colleague at the top.
The arrival of the owls signals the last throws of work on Parliament Square and it is hoped that all the barriers and fencing will be removed by the end of the month.
