CONSTRUCTION work at the new Vestacare Stadium is under way and making good progress.
The stadium, formally Whitebank Stadium, was renamed after main tenants Avro FC, got the backing of sponsors Vestacare and is expected to benefit the community.
The development will see the current pitch upgraded to an all-weather 3G surface, a new training pitch added and the club house spruced up.
It could also see the return of Oldham Rugby League Club to the site and will be available for use by the community.
