RESTAURANTS and bistros across Saddleworth have been warned to be on their guard after reports of a large group running up sizeable bills before leaving without paying.
A police spokesman said: "We have chosen to alert the Saddleworth area because of the large number of premises serving food.
"Please be mindful should a large party attend without a prior booking.
"If you are aware of such an incident please let us know by calling 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers 0800 555 111."
