Motorist to stand trial

A WOMAN motorist alleged to have caused the death of an Oldham pensioner in a car accident two weeks before Christmas, is to stand trial.
Brian Croxton (77) died after being hit by a Ford Fiesta vehicle on Sandy Lane, Royton, on December 8.
Anna Edwards (23) pleaded not guilty at Manchester's Minshull Street Crown Court, to charges of causing death by careless driving, and failing to stop after an accident.
Ms Edwards, of Roch Bank, Manchester, was given unconditional bail until her trial date of January 15, next year.
