One features in the latest Hollywood blockbuster and the other is a former teacher turned entertainer who plans to visit children in hospitals, but which one is which?

Kerry Newton (45), who shows a startling resemblance to Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot, gave up her teaching job of 22 years to follow her passion and make as many young people smile.

The Mossley based Wonder Woman lookalike, who taught science at Marple Hall School, Stockport, plans to visit various hospitals, care homes, young people's institutions and children's events throughout the UK voluntarily, dressed in her own £1,400 costume, with the purpose of entertaining and promoting the message of following your dreams and achieving your goals.

Kerry, who has held a passion for acting all her life and is stunt and combat trained as well as being a dancer and singer, also downsized from her house to a small flat and spent every penny she could on the costume and preparation.

"I am on a mission to lift spirits, encourage, support, educate and entertain." She says.

Kerry also has plans to expand and create her own Justice League with several superhero characters in place visiting young people and helping them to become their own 'Superhero', spending time with those in need of support to give them an uplifting, empowering and positive experience.

For now though Kerry is looking to raise funds for her cause via gofundme.com to help her build and expand.

Kerry said: "I was a science teacher, then just after 22 years of being a teacher I gave up my job. It kind of came about because once I made the costume and because I was working with children and knowing the people I know I thought I want to do this, I thought what can I do to use my skills and the costume.

"Wonder Woman is a brilliant role model."
