Double blaze inquiry

AN investigation has been launched after firefighters were called to two incidents in Chadderton overnight.
Crews from Chadderton were called to a fire in the rear yard of a hairdressers in Middleton Road at 10.55pm.
Window-cleaning equipment was damaged by flames which were kept to an empty intermediate bulk container.
Just one hour later, crews from Chadderton and Oldham responded to a two-car fire in the same road.
The incident started in a red transit van and had spread to a silver Renault Clio, destroying both vehicles.
Firefighters tackled the blaze outside house no. 1,004.
