Two accused over dog fights

A GLODWICK couple denied neglecting their pet dogs, causing unnecessary suffering and organising animal fights.
Raja Hussain (28), of Brook Lane, and Tasleem Akhtar (32), of Mansfield Road entered not guilty pleas at Oldham Magistrates Court yesterday.
Hussain faces 12 charges and Akhtar eight charges under the Animal Welfare Act and Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
The case was adjourned for a case-management hearing on April 14 .
