Man, 19, on sex assault charge

A 19-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with sexually assaulting a girl in Oldham.
Abdul Rahman, of Clarkwell Close, Oldham, was charged with two counts of sexual assault by penetration.
Police received reports that a 12-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted at a house in Chadderton on Wednesday, April 23, last year.
He is due to appear at Oldham Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 13.
Greater Manchester Police works in partnership with Oldham Council and Oldham Primary Care Trust to combat child exploitation in the borough.
A team, known as Messenger, has been set up to work in partnership with children’s charity Barn-ardo’s to identify children who are potentially at risk from abuse and formulate a strategy aimed at helping these individuals.
