Two arrested in betting shop raid

POLICE have arrested a man and a woman in connection with an armed raid on a Shaw betting shop.
The incident happened at Coral bookmakers in Beal Lane at 9.25pm on Easter Saturday.
Two balaclava-clad raiders escaped with cash in a silver Vauxhall Astra.
The vehicle bore registration plates stolen from another silver Astra (BK55 WLH) which had no connection with the incident.
