All change for jobs
Date published: 06 May 2009
COUNCIL managers will find out this week the final structures and job roles in Oldham’s slimmed down executive departments.
Consultations began with the trades unions today, with existing staff being told about the changes in face-to-face meetings
The changes, which will may see jobs deleted or altered and merged, follow the restructuring begun by Chief Executive Charlie Parker after he arrived in October.
Five executive departments have been cut to three, with a new department for the assistant chief executive.
Comments
Five departments cut to three-rubbish.
The old Assistant Directors are still in place, and each new Director has been provided with an assistant.
Mr Parker has spent more than he will ever save-unless of course he balances the books by making more front line, grade 2-3, staff redundant.
Another restucture brilliant who lost their job in the last one that failed just like this one a joke .. then it is ombc jobs for the boys brigrade
The empire building continues. Has anyone actually done any work since the smiling assassin arrived? The only news we seem to get from the Tower Of Babble is of new wunderkind being wheeled in, (and laptops being wheeled out), filling newly invented positions, which we are guaranteed, will help deliver us to the promised land. It's like football managers, whose first job, on moving to a new club, is to bring all the incompetent hangers-on from their old club. It's like a comfort blanket.
