Railings replaced

Historic railings around the Lyceum building in Oldham are being replaced after a car crash.
The railings and boundary wall on the Clegg Street side of the Grade II listed building were damaged in the collision.
The £18,000 contract will be carried out by specialist company Dorothea Restoration of Whaley Bridge.

So what is historic about them? They may be old but that does not make them historic ....
