Tales of Oldham go Stateside
Date published: 03 July 2009
Oldham East and Saddleworth MP Phil Woolas believes no one is too important to miss out on the goings-on in Oldham.
So when the Immigration Minister met up with his US counterpart — Janet Napatalino, head of homeland security — at the American Embassy in London, he did not miss the opportunity to spread the word.
Not being fazed that she is the forth most powerful person in America, Mr Woolas spent about 20 minutes telling her about Oldham.
He said: “I explained all about Oldham, the history of Kashmir and Oldham, and the link with the textile industry.
“She was a former governor of Arizona so we talked about what we can learn from each other.
“We talked a lot about the fight against terrorism.”

Try talking to the real people with ideas.
What a load of b------t.
Unfazed that she is the 4th most powerful person in America, Mr Woolas, who is the 5th most powerful person in their house, spent 20 mins telling her about Oldham. He knows nowt about Oldham so he must have talked real slow to fill the time. What the hell has Kashmir got to do with it? What could the former governor of Arizona learn from a muppet, apart from how to fill in an allowances claim. Head of US Homeland security rates slightly higher on the job scale than Minister for Irritation.

Typical! Useless gets a chance to talk about Oldham and he talks about the history of Kashmir it shows to all reading this just where his priorities lie. I just wish he'd go and stand for election there, because he represents them better than he represents us!
