A 31-YEAR-OLD man was fighting for his life in hospital after a serious road traffic collision in the early hours of this morning.

A black Porsche Cayenne overturned after it collided with a roundabout at the junction of Oldham Way and Featherstall Road North at about 2.25am.

Two men were inside the car at the time and the 31-year-old man has been taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital with serious head and abdominal injuries.

The other, a 32-year-old man, suffered cuts to his head.

Oldham Way and Featherstall Road North were closed for four hours as a result of the crash but have since reopened.

Fire crews from Chadderton were called to make the car, which costs around £47,000, safe and disconnect the battery.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call traffic police on 0161 856 8473.

I know who the guy is and everyone who knows him is devastated so I'd keep comments like that to yourself from now on! If there was anything funny going on then the police would be taking it further but there not!

If the police are not taking it further it means the car isnt stolen. Who in there right mind would pay upwards of 50k for a car and write it off injuring mates with it. No one would sounds like an accident pure and simple, dont let this incident be grouped with others where the driver has stolen it. Hope they all make a quick recovery

Flake's bigoted remarks should have been left on for all to see.
Judging by the heartfelt comments left by friends...you were way off the mark weren't you Flake?.

I along with all the man's family and friends await your written apology for what you implied about him and his injured friend.

R.I.P and condolences to all his family and friends.

This is a terrible tragedy. I have only known the man who died for a bit over a year, but he was one of the brightest, candid, most able, trustworthy, honourable, supportive, creative, and fun to be with people I have ever come across.
A truly great friend to have made.
The world is a poorer place without him.
My heart goes out to his family.
