TV drama comes to Thornham

LIGHTS, camera, action! A driveway in an Oldham street (above) became a recording set for a popular TV show.
A BBC crew were filming at Springfield Lane, Thornham, yesterday for an episode of “Waterloo Road”.
The drama is set in a failing Rochdale comprehensive school and features a host of former “Coronation Street” stars including Eva Pope, Angela Griffin and Denise Welch.
The fifth series is currently being shown on BBC1 at 8pm on Wednesdays.
