Police hunt for burglar

Date published: 30 December 2009

POLICE are hunting a convicted burglar — on licence from prison — in connection with a robbery.

Craig Boland was sentenced to 18 months in prison in August, 2008, for burglary.

The 22-year-old was released on licence on April 1 this year but has since breached the terms of his licence. Police also want to speak to him about a robbery at a Co-op in Kenyon Lane, Middleton, close to the Chadderton border, in August.

Boland is featured on the Greater Manchester Police Wanted website and Pc Chris Delamore said: “By breaching the terms of his licence Boland has effectively sent himself back to jail.

“I would urge anyone with information about his whereabouts to call police.”

Boland is known to have visited Blackley, Moston, Harpurhey, and also has links to Bury and Middleton.

Anyone with information should call Grey Mare Lane police station on 0161-856 3508/3670 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111.

More wasted Police time and more misery to the public, all caused by our bleeding heart woolly liberal judicial system.

looks like a lovely chap

"Police also want to speak to him about a robbery at a Co-op in Kenyon Lane".......8 months into an 18 month sentence and he is released. We pay so people can work to release these people early.....why do we bother?
No wonder this country is screwed up!

Breached the terms of his licence? Isn't that code for done another robbery? One thing for certain he's not sleeping rough in these winter temperatures, but you can bet who ever is sheltering him won't be prosecuted for it! Not bad though an 18 month sentence & he's released after just 7 months. Not much of a deterrent!

If he'd been made to serve the full sentence, they would know where he was & he wouldn't have been able to commit a robbery which, as it by legal definition involves violence or the threat of violence, means someone suffered because of our soft legal system. Shame on the judiciary.
