Gunman strikes in mother’s home

A 46-YEAR-OLD woman had a gun held to her throat during a robbery at her Chadderton home.
It happened at around 8pm Sunday, on February 21, when the raider confronted her in the living room of her flat in Manchester Road.
When she began to scream for help, he produced a handgun and held it to her throat.
He then followed her into her bedroom and told her: “I want money, I want money.”
The victim handed over some cash and jewellery before fainting during a struggle.
She came round and the offender had gone.
He is described as black, aged 40-50, about 6ft 2in tall, of heavy build with a flat nose. He had a Jamaican accent.
Det-Con Paul Cockburn, of Oldham CID, said: “This was a very frightening experience for the victim, who was alone in her home with two young children asleep upstairs when this man threatened her at gunpoint — he clearly has no regard for other people.
“I would urge people to read the description and look at the image and if you have any suspicions whatsoever about who is responsible I would urge you to get in touch.
“To be confronted in your own home in such a way is rare and I would like to reassure residents we are doing all we can do identify the offender.”

It might be rare but people need to do all they can to defend themselves, when you call 999 the useless brigade just aren't going to come to your aid. In my experience 999 calls take 90 minutes when the perperators are present (and that's not just based on a single incident).
If the uselesses manage to identify him, they probably won't have enough evidence to prosecute, but if by some miracle they do expect a slap on the wrist to be handed down
