LOCAL youngsters teamed up with professional footballers to give racism the red card.
Primary and secondary school pupils from across the borough met Latics players Dean Furman and Joe Jacobson and former QPR, Fulham and West Ham striker Leroy Rosenior at the Queen Elizabeth Hall to kick off a week of activities starting on Monday.
A number of workshops and question and answer sessions to raise awareness of racism and the issues surrounding racism in football have been organised. There will also be an information stand in the Spindles.
