Putting the British people first
Date published: 27 April 2010
ELECTION 2010
CAMPAIGN STATEMENT by David Lomas, BNP candidate, Ashton
MY name is David Lomas. I am your British National Party (BNP) Parliamentary candidate for the Ashton constituency.
I am a 44-year-old local man who lives in Droylsden with my wife and two children, aged five and six. I work as a self-employed bricklayer.
I joined the BNP because of an increasing concern and frustration at the direction our country is headed.
The three main parties, in truth, are not interested in our views and seek them only superficially at election time. The BNP is different. We will ALWAYS put the interests of British people first.
The NHS is one of Britain’s greatest achievements and something I cherish, but many parts of it under New Labour have become chronically badly run and inefficient. The BNP will reinvigorate our health service and give it whatever it needs.
We will stop foreign health tourists abusing the NHS and give maximum priority to OUR people.
Locally, we need to sort out Tameside Hospital’s problems once and for all, local people deserve better.
The main parties have gone soft on law and order, turning many parts of our country into drug and crime-ridden ghettos.
The BNP will put PUNISHMENT at the heart of the criminal justice system and bring back long prison sentences served in spartan conditions.
We will reintroduce capital and corporal punishment to restore order to every corner of the country.
Everyone knows some part of Failsworth or Ashton, for example, that they are afraid to walk through at certain times. This should NOT be the case.
The BNP is the only party that would immediately withdraw our heroic servicemen and women from the Afghanistan conflict, which isn’t worth one British life.
The Lib/Lab/Con trick has flooded Britain with millions of foreigners, transforming the nation and local area before our eyes. The BNP would stop ALL immigration and deport anyone who has no right to be here.
We would also stop the lunacy of pouring money into the bottomless pit of international aid, and put the needs of our people first instead.
Under Labour, three out of every four new jobs have gone to foreigners, many taken on by unscrupulous employers, who simply want low- paid workhorses who are easy to exploit.
What happened to the Labour Party that was founded to uphold and protect the rights of the working men and women of this country? They have utterly betrayed us, their core supporters.
I’m asking you to give me and the British National Party a chance to show you what we can do for the people of Ashton, Failsworth, Hollinwood and Droylsden.
As a normal, working, local family man, not a gravy train riding, out of touch careerist politician, I understand and share the day-to-day concerns of ordinary people.
If elected I will always uphold YOUR interests, the interests of our area and put Britain and the British people first.

Any details? You will improve the NHS how exactly?
What about the ordinary non-white people of this country?
A vote for BNP is a vote for fascism and, if you remember Mr Lomas, the ordinary people of this country fought against that.
I don;t know if anyone has told you Mr Lomas, but this is the OLDHAM Chronicle and we don't like Tameside foreigners in our paper. Stay in your own town - just like you want people to stay in their own countries.
BTW it's 98.5% of all new jobs which have gone to foreigners according to the NSO. And there are 750000 fewer British born workers in the public services than in 1997.
If you're going to have such policies wouldn't it be a good idea to get the figures right?
If you are disillusioned there must be better ways of expressing your concern than joining such an organisation as the BNP. NG showed his true colours again this past week and so did another of his 'team'.
The BNP has some good ideas but until it can put together a solid set of proposals, that all members are aware of, they will remain laughable. The do not have enough intelligent people to drive them forwards, although I do think a lot of what they stand for is right. This country is now the laughing stock of Europe.
This country is not only the laughing stock of Europe, it is the laughing stock of the world - for many reasons
