Plate-smashing and an ouzo on wedding trip

Ditching his trademark burgundy jacket and opting for a pristine white waistcoat, adventurous traveller Alex the meerkat has made his latest appearance — at a wedding in Greece.

Dr Kershaw’s furry friend looked the part in a cravat as he accompanied local couple Lee Mills and Nicola Chapman to Sidari in Corfu for the happiest day of their lives.

After causing a celebrity stir at the airport, Alex threw himself into the Greek tradition of plate smashing coupled with a tipple or two of Ouzo, before relaxing in the sweltering climate.

He even made it into the wedding pictures — looking dapper with the pretty bridesmaid and the beaming happy couple.

The loveable critter is certainly clocking up some air miles, but where will Alex turn up next?
