Trick-or-treat children given cocaine

A ROYTON man is accused of giving children a bag of cocaine as they knocked on doors trick or treating.
Donald Junior Green (23), of Mendip Close, has been charged with possession of Class A drugs and was due before Oldham Magistrates’ Court today.
Shortly before 7.50pm on Wednesday (31) police received a report of drugs being found by children.
Snap bags containing white powder were taken to the police and examined. It was confirmed that the bags contained cocaine.
A 21-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs but was later released without charge.
Superintendent Catherine Hankinson said: “The parents and police acted quickly when this report was made, in the interests of public safety.
“We understand this to be an isolated incident.”
